Masters In The Mornings - Homeschool Program
During this 9 week session, students will complete an oil painting, explore nuno feltmaking, as well as many other projects that incorporate sketching, printmaking, sculpture and mixed media.
The program combines art history with projects inspired by master artists, and the principles and elements of design. Students are introduced to a wide range of artists, styles, and mediums during each 9 week session. Instructors encourage creativity, perseverance and confidence.
In the Masters in the Morning program, students will develop an artful eye, and learn new skills that will help them better express themselves. We value the process of making art rather than focusing on the end product, however our students are producing some pretty amazing pieces of art! We use only quality materials, and the classes are taught by professional artists and experienced teachers.
Our mornings start with a visual presentation and discussion of the artist or style we are studying. Next we have a snack and then launch into the art project. Clean-up is a group effort, and the studio will be completely put back before transitioning. Since students work at different paces, we schedule time to finish projects to their satisfaction. At the end of each session, family and friends are invited to an art exhibit where students will be encouraged to share, talk about, or demonstrate what they have learned.
