Tuition: $320 for 8 classes (9 weeks) + 6hrs of open studio time + 25 lbs of clay.
This course combines students of varying levels who want to learn or improve their current skills on the pottery wheel. Beginners will learn basic fundamental shapes that can be turned into bowls, plates, mugs, vases, and more. Those comfortable with basic throwing techniques will focus on more complex forms, glazing, and surface design techniques.
Week 1-6 is construction, no class week 7 while pieces are bisque fired, week 8 is glaze week, week 9 is pick-up and critique party. Includes 25 lbs of clay, the firing of your work, and access to 6 hrs of open studio time per week! Additional clay may be purchased for $55 per 25lb bag, which includes bisque, fire, and glaze.
