This pottery course teaches students basic wheel throwing and hand-building with a focus on surface design, and glazing techniques to add a unique touch to your functional and sculptural pieces. Beginner friendly but also suitable for intermediate students who want to work independently, but need some instruction and constructive feedback.
Week 1-6 is construction, no class week 7 while pieces are bisque fired, week 8 is glaze week, week 9 is pick-up and critique party. Includes 25lbs of clay, the firing of your work, and access to 6 hrs of open studio time per week! Additional clay may be purchased for $55 per 25lb bag, which includes bisque, fire, glaze.
Small class enrollment is limited to 8 students, so students can get plenty of instructor assistance.
