CALL TO ARTISTS: Black & White

Opening Reception - B&W

Kara Bigda – Kara graduated from Amherst College with a fine arts degree in 1991 and has worked in education, the insurance industry and manufacturing.  In 2008, after 10 years as a public school art teacher, Kara resigned from teaching in order to focus her time on painting.  After experimenting with acrylics, design, collage and printmaking, she committed her attention to watercolor and has never veered.  These days Kara spends her time working as a Training Coordinator for a local manufacturing facility and painting as much as she can.

Susan Tilton Pecora – Susan was raised in Marblehead, Massachusetts. In this seashore community, she grew to appreciate the quality of light and the intrinsic beauty of New England. After furthering her studies in Boston she moved to Western Mass in 1974 and studied painting with Jack Flynn, A.W.S. at Bay Path College. When Mr. Flynn retired, she taught at Bay Path for the next ten years.

She is a signature member of the New England Watercolor Society in Boston, and a former council member of the Academic Artists Association, Springfield; Copley Society Boston; Cape Cod Art Association, Barnstable and The Provincetown Art Association.

There are no cash prizes for this show, however, awards will be presented and winners will be spotlighted in our press releases, social media pages,  website, and email marketing promotions.
