Come join me as I guide you through the anatomy and movement of the equine, an introduction to the equine facial expression, finding the right proportions and discover how light and shadow define the horse. Learn how to fully render your own equine portrait in graphite or charcoal that focuses on the use of light, varying line, and work towards finding the happy balance with the subtleness of grey.

Charcoal sticks

charcoal vine

Kneaded eraser and hard eraser

Drawing paper 80-184lb, white

Graphite pencils- HB, H, F, 2B, 4B, 6B, 8B
