Hand-building Early American Pottery Workshop- CANCELLED
FRIDAY, APRIL 19TH, 10am-3pm
Tuition: $75
Instructor: Juliet Bacchas
Explore the history of how pottery got started in Early American focusing on their shapes and how they functioned. Hand-building allows everyone to achieve far more in 1 class than wheel throwing, and that is an enormous encouragement. So in this workshop, expect to make a sizable form of your choice from the Early American Era. Then we will add decoration to these forms with a focus on surface decorating technique ‘sgraffito’. This is a fun workshop and a good way to experience what hand-building pottery is all about.
