Hello Homeschoolers!

Workshop13 has a new Fine Arts Program perfect for your homeschoolers aged 11yrs+.  Students in this program will learn to work in a variety of mediums with our very talented instructors, Eliza Moser, Roc Goudreau, Susan Harris,  Nicole Finnie and Marie Lauderdale.

Tuition: 13 week course, $260 – we accept payment arrangements.

Schedule: January 8th – April 8th. 13 week program, no class during Feb vacation.

January 8th & 15th, 12pm – 2pm | Winter Watercolor with Susan Harris

The class will consist of a brief discussion about composition, values and subject matter but mostly concentrate on some of the wonderful techniques that make tube watercolor painting so exciting! Students will complete a watercolor painting of a winter scene in these two classes.

January 22nd & 29th, 12pm – 2pm | Fun with Fiber with Marie Lauderdale

In these two classes, students will use needle and wet felting techniques to do an abstract painting with fiber inspired by Gustav Klimt.

February 5th, 12th, 26th &  March 4th | Self Portrait in Oils with Eliza Moser

Students will compare and discuss self-portraits from master artists, then working from a photo draw and paint their own self-portrait in oils.

March 11th, 18th, 25th & April 1st | Illustrating with Roc Goudreau

Develop a character on paper using pencil techniques then transfer that image into Adobe Illustrator for rendering. Students will get a crash course using layers in AI to add color, patterns, and more to their piece of art.

April 8th is the Art Show. Noon-2pm is set-up, show 2pm-2:45pm.

Bring: A water bottle. We supply all other materials needed.

  • Dress: Dress for mess! We will be using a variety of mediums that may not washout.  Our old building can be much cooler inside than out. Layers are a good idea!
  • Our studio: We are very fortunate to be part of an active fine arts studio. Occasionally, there are artists’ works on display that celebrate the human,(mainly female) figure. If you are uncomfortable with this please contact me ASAP.
  • Art Show: All art projects will remain in our studio until the end of session art show. At our art show, students will display, present and give demos on techniques learned.
